Spring is springing and it’s (almost) business as usual here at Alpine Resorts. Courchevel and Les Gets have much to offer as the days get longer and the temperatures warmer. Whilst our ski lifts remain stationary, here’s our review of some excellent activities to keep you entertained and excited in the mountains this spring.
Wellness & Relaxation in the Spa
Prepare your body and mind for the new season with an indulgent break - you deserve it! Our highly spa trained team in Les Gets and Courchevel await you. You’ll discover an extensive range of professional treatments to help you unwind and recuperate in the comfort of your own accommodation. Why not consider a break to reconnect with your friends at Kinabalu in Les Gets or Le C in Courchevel? Your body will thank you!
Peace & Quiet on the Mountain
Snowshoeing is having a huge revival this winter, thanks in part to excellent snow conditions and lots of sunshine! Marked snowshoe trails have been established in Courchevel and Les Gets, with routes available for all abilities, giving you the opportunity to experience the calm and tranquility ofthe mountains in a very special way. Show shoes are available to hire via our
Annaski ski shop in Les Gets or via the ESF in your resort.
Skiing, but not as you know it
Another sport enjoying a rebirth this winter is ski du fond. Combining the athletic pursuits of trail running with the thrill of the downhill, ski du fond is one of the most traditional and enjoyable ways to spend an afternoon in the mountains. In Courchevel you’ll discover the trails of the Belvédère piste in Moriond have been prepared for your pleasure, and newbies can learn their technique with the
ESF Courchevel 1650. In Les Gets, two trails have been prepared on the Chavannes and on Mont Chery too.
Back to Nature with the Animals
A cross between ski-joering and husky riding, cani-rando is a great way to become one with nature in the mountains while experiencing an adrenaline hit too. Harnessed to a beautiful Nordic dog, you’ll be propelled up the trails of Mont Chery in Les Gets by experienced guide
Didier and his team, discovering stunning vistas as you go. Alternatively in Courchevel, your horse awaits, courtesy of
Coeur Equestre des 3 Vallées. These animals have a very special relationship with the snow and there’s something thrilling about riding them in the wilds of the mountains.
Your Head in the Clouds
You’ve always wanted to take a helicopter ride above your favourite ski resort, and we strongly believe that this is the winter to do it. Spot your favourite slopes or your favourite mountain restaurant, see the peaks from a very different perspective and even experience the majesty of Mont Blanc during an unforgettable pleasure ride.
Blugeon Helicoptères offer a varied range of flights to enjoy with your friends or family across the Alps. Where would you go?
Thrills & Spills in the Snow
Fat Bikes are where winter and summer sports collide. You’ll use a modified bike (with wider tyres as the name suggests) to both ascend and descend the pistes of Courchevel or Les Gets. The bikes are backed up with batteries to give you extra power on those uphill stretches while routes can be adapted to suit your requirements. In Courchevel for example,
Izi Bike offer a tour of the pistes between Courchevel Village and the Altiport.
Say Hello to Spring
As the spring flowers emerge and the snow melt begins, our mountain lakes become a fascinating place to breathe in nature and take stock. Lac de la Rosière is a truly special spot in Courchevel. Take a tour before enjoying a delicious hot chocolate or vin chaud. In Les Gets the trail around Lac des Ecoles has been prepared and offers stunning views over the village and the surrounding pistes.
With so many ways to enjoy the alps this winter, you’ll wonder how you ever found the time to ski! And as always, our knowledgable teams in each residence are available to help you plan your activities. With just a few weeks of the winter season remaining, now is the time to take advantage of the fresh mountain air and spring sunshine. Book now before it’s too late!
