February is the time of the family ski holiday! The kids are off school, the whole family is together and our favourite resorts put on lots of great family activities for kids and adults of all ages to get stuck in to. Here are some of our favourite family activities in Courchevel and Les Gets for you to enjoy this February.
Les Gets
Les Gets is an amazing family ski resort because there’s so much to do an experience, both on and off the slopes. From exciting after-ski games to creative activities for little ones, family-friendly ski slopes to dining options, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy, particularly in February!

⎯⎯ Red Ski Show
The Red Ski Show combines a stunning torchlit descent from the local ski instructors with a series of awe-inspiring ski and snowboard demos, safety demonstrations from the pisteurs, a huge fireworks display and free hot chocolate and vin chaud for the spectators!
Catch the Red Ski Show every Monday evening from the 10th February until the 2nd March.
⎯⎯ Charity Torchlit Descent
This winter Les Gets gives you the chance to get involved with the torchlit descent en famille, and it’s all for a good cause. You can join the torchlit descent for a donation to the Jules Segers – Handiski association and the local ESF ski instructors will show you what to do and make sure you get down safely. A great opportunity to join in with one of the resort’s biggest traditions, don’t miss this one!
Join in the fun on the fun every Wednesday from the 12th February until the 4th March.
⎯⎯ Les Sources du Chery
Les Gets’ all new spa and swimming complex has dedicated kids’ and adults’ spaces so the entire family can make the most of this beautiful aquatic space. Kids will love the water based games and play structures, while grown-ups will find a variety of pools and spa facilities designed to relax, energise and exercise.

⎯⎯ On the Slopes
Les Gets is famously home to lots of fun themed slopes that kids and families will love to ski together. From the purple Milka piste to the Piste des Indiennes, the boardercross course to snowy play area La Bankids, Les Gets helps little ones fall in love with the snow.
Vina Annapurna

Looking for somewhere to eat out as a family? Look no further than Vina Annapurna, our flagship restaurant in Les Gets. Offering an excellent children’s menu, it’s the perfect spot for adults and kids to dine together in a stylish but cosy and laid back space in the resort centre.

Courchevel
Courchevel has something for everyone and it absolutely never fails to disappoint in the February holiday weeks! Expect pyrotechnics galore, lots of after-ski activities and of course, incredible ski slopes that the entire family will love.

⎯⎯ Aquamotion
Aquamotion is one of Courchevel’s highlights and is perfect for a family afternoon after a day on the slopes. The kids will love the waterslides, climbing wall and aquatic play areas, while adults will make the most of the relaxing spa area, fitness classes and wellness treatments.
⎯⎯ Courchevel Ski Show
Every week throughout the holidays a different Courchevel resort hosts the Ski Show - Magic Night, which consists of ski demos, piste basher performances, and a fantastic torchlit descent from the Courchevel ESF instructors, all topped off with an incredible fireworks display.
You can catch the ski show every Wednesday from the 12th February until the 4th March.

⎯⎯ Fireworks Festival
One of the highlights of Courchevel’s events calendar is the International Festival of Pyrotechnic Arts, where each week a different team of pyrotechnic experts light up the mountains of Courchevel with a different fireworks display. This year the theme is Game of Thrones and we can’t wait to see what the teams come up with!
The festival takes place every Thursday in a different Courchevel resort between the 13th February and the 5th March and each performance is accompanied by guided tours, street performances and a torchlit descent from the local ESF instructors.
⎯⎯ On the Slopes
Did you know Courchevel has a total of 54 green and blue runs? That makes for super accessible family skiing that’s fun for kids and adults of all ages. Courchevel also offers plenty of fun ski areas for the whole family to enjoy, including the Western Ski Park with on- and off-skis activities and games for younger kids to enjoy, while more experienced little skiers will love going to the Family Park to practice their tricks, or testing their speed in the Stop Zone. This winter Courchevel has also partnered with Disney's Frozen 2 to bring your little ones a mountain treasure hunt, where they can follow in the tracks of Anna and Elsa on their skis and discover the magic of the mountains.

⎯⎯ Sledging
Guess what? Courchevel Moriond is home to one of the the best sledging runs in the Alps! It's 3km long and packed with hairpins, tunnels and fun obstacles, making for a great afternoon of racing with the whole family.
