The resorts of Courchevel, Val d'Isère and Les Gets prepare a comprehensive and exciting programme of activities, entertainment and events for families during the school holidays. They will be published in advance by each resort's Office de Tourisme, giving you the chance to discover the options that best suit your children's tastes and interests before the holidays arrive. Often younger skiers only enjoy half a day on the slopes, giving you some quality time to enjoy your resort of choice as a family.
It goes without saying that the school holiday weeks are particularly busy in ski resorts across the Alps. It’s therefore a great idea to book your lunch stops and evening meals in advance, especially if you have favorite restaurants in your ski resort. Our dedicated concierge teams in each resort are here to help you, offering recommendations that are perfect for families and making table reservations for you too.

3 - All eventualities
If you’re planning your first family ski holiday, it pays to think about extra layers for children. As most of our properties include a washing machine and dryer, it’s easy to refresh layers during your holiday, but other essentials such as extra pairs of gloves, snow boots and hats are also a great idea. And don’t forget the sun cream and sunglasses! We’re expecting some lovely sunny days this year!

4 - Snack
It’s a great idea to have some treats stuffed into your pockets for those times when energy levels take an unexpected dive. Also, if your children are heading into ski school lessons, popping a snack into their pocket (along with your name and telephone number, just in case!) Is also a great idea.
A good snack!
5 - A safety reminder
It may be a few years since you were last on the slopes, so it’s always a good idea to remind yourself and the rest of your family of some simple on-piste safety rules before you jump on your first ski lift. Staying in control and sticking to pistes that match your ability is always the first step. Giving other mountain uses space and giving way to the skier below you should also be remembered. It’s really important to remember good on-piste etiquette, especially during the school holidays.
Always be carful on the slopes!
6 - Some you time
You’ll quickly discover that the fresh mountain air and extra exertion has children tired and ready for some down time each afternoon. This is where you come in! In both Les Gets and Courchevel our exclusive spas offer you some tranquil relaxation and a chance to recharge your batteries - this is a holiday after all! Book your spa treatments in advance of your arrival to avoid disappointment.

7 - All together
Regardless of the age and ability of your little skiers, end your holiday by skiing together, even if that’s on the beginner slopes. There’s nothing equal to the thrill of watching your children enjoy their first turns beside you and ending your trip with this memorable moment is extra special. It’ll be the motivation you need to join us again next winter!
